Enchanted Realms Rulebook
PHYLUM: ANIMAL
CLASS: AMPHIBIAN
Creatures in the Animal Class of Amphibian are cold-blooded animals that don’t have scales. They live part of their lives in water and part on land. They have the ability to breath in both environments: on the land surface and underwater.
Brethmechin

Zoola Animal Aquatic
The Brethmechin is an amphibious beast, measuring over 10 feet and around 2 feet to the shoulder. It has two legs, which allow it to move around on land to some extent. It has a panther’s head and a lion’s claws, with a horse-like tuft of hair on the tip of its pantherine tail. Brethmechins are red in color with blue markings, and have a lighter cerulean tail with red spots. They are well furnished with red dorsal and ventral bristles, with the ventral bristles being particularly long towards the tail. They tend to hunt smaller mammals who approach a watering hole but have occasionally attacked man-sized creatures.
Giant Frog

Zoola Animal Amphibian
Giant frogs have razor-sharp teeth lining their mouths. They are 6 feet long and weigh around 200 pounds. On a “natural 20” score, the frog will “tongue-grab” gain a free grapple feat against a medium-sized victim. It cannot swallow a human, but can hold him in place. Small or Tiny creatures will be swallowed upon the end of the frog’s next turn.
Stog

Zoola Animal Amphibian
The stog, a colloquial name for the steam frog, lives in swampy areas. These rare amphibians have no attack of significance against humanoids, but they have been known to be collected by some and placed in jars and other containers, as stogs produce a fog effect in a fifteen-foot radius. When released from a container, the fog will begin to radiate from the stog filling the area in a single action. Even if killed, it will require 1 minute (5 rounds) for the fog to lift naturally.
CLASS: AQUATIC
Animals of the aquatic class are nearly always superb swimmers and most can onlu breathe underwater; however, there are a few exceptions, such as dolphins and whales, which breath air, but are able to hold their breath for long periods of time measure into hours at times.
Auñ Pana

Zoola Animal Aquatic
The Auñ Pana are evil man-eating fish, which are large, have arms, and are covered with hair. They are around 25 feet long. The auñ pana live in deep waters.
Bregdi

Zoola Animal Aquatic
A malicious sea monster, the Bregdi is feared for its habit of chasing boats. Once it has caught up with a boat, it wraps its long fins around it, putting them up over the gunwales, and dives with the boat in its deadly embrace. The entire act requires only a minute (5 rounds) to sink even a galleon. Fortunately a bregdi’s attentions can be deterred in two ways. The bregdi hates the touch of cold steel. A simple steel (not iron) dagger is more than enough to combat it. Slashing the fins as soon as they appear over the gunwales will make it let go and flee. It is also terrified of amber beads, and a single amber bead thrown at a bregdi is enough to scare it off.
Dolphin

Zoola Animal Aquatic
A large aquatic animal
Manta Ray

Zoola Animal Aquatic
Manta Rays are cartilaginous fish with triangular pectoral fins, horn-shaped cephalic fins and large, forward-facing mouths. They tend to be gentle and often flee from any predator. If startled, one can attack with its barbed, non-toxic tail.
Octopus

Zoola Animal Aquatic
A medium-sized aquatic creature that gains +2 to grappling and may grab up to 2 creatures within 5 feet within the same round. If establishing a hold until its next turn, the octopus can bite the opponent with a +4 bonus to hit, and that bite will deliver a corrosive poison that inflicts d3 points of damage if the victim fails a Resilience save (DC:9). Moreover, it can, once per encounter, release a 5-foot-radius cloud of ink which extends all around the octopus if it is underwater. The area is heavily obscured for 1 minute, although a significant current can disperse the ink. After releasing the ink, the octopus can use perform a dash action simultaneously to the release.
Giant Octopus

Zoola Animal Aquatic
Enormous aquatic creature with ten-to-fifteen-foot tentacles. It gains +6 to grappling and may grab up to 4 creatures within 15 feet. Otherwise, it can bludgeon with its tentacles and may split 4d20 dice as desired. However, it can, once per encounter, release a 20-foot-radius cloud of ink what extends all around the octopus if it is underwater. The area is heavily obscured for 1 minute, although a significant current can disperse the ink. After releasing the ink, the octopus can use perform a dash action simultaneously to the release.
