Enchanted Realms Rulebook
Phylum: Animal
Class: Reptile
Reptile Animals are cold-blooded creatures with dry, scaly skin. They are air-breathers, and typically lay eggs with a leathery shell
Alligator
Zoola Animal Reptile
Reptilian creature frequenting warm marshy areas. These beasts will inflict a point of body damage on a d20 attack, but if scoring a hit it is allowed to enter a body competition with any prey with equal or smaller body mass; if winning, then the alligator will effectively won a grapple maneuver. Once the victim is “held” in the vice-mouth of an alligator, the reptile will attempt to drag its prey under water or other method of suffocation. Typically, only one alligator is encountered at a time, but there are rare swarms.
Ix-hunpedzkin
Zoola Animal Reptile
The Ix-hunpedzkin is a mere 3 to 4 inches long, with black, rose, and ash-colored bands across its body with a pink underbelly. It strikes with both its mouth and its tail. Duskanger poison is made from the venom sacs of this creature. In fact, its entire body is virulently toxic, and it can kill a grown man, but even that is not the ix-hunpedzkin’s most infamous activity. Ix-hunpedzkins often enter houses and come in contact with humans. They can cause severe, debilitating headaches merely by biting the shadow of one’s head, according to urban legends. The truth, however, is they actually emit an aura of pain with 10 feet. When someone starts his turn or enters into the area, he must roll a Judgment save (TM:15) or lose d3 point of Mind. However, there is a potion made from the ix-hunpedzkin which can render temporary immunity to this pain effect.
Lizard Steed
Zoola Animal Reptile
These giant lizards stride on their powerful hind legs. While they are not as fast, these reptiles are capable of carrying heavy loads up to 1000 pounds. Lizard steeds are preferred by many because of their excellent ability to climb. With assistance with their front claws, these reptiles can traverse most difficult terrain without movement penalties. Further, they can ascend and descend any rough terrain of even 60 degree angles and perfectly smooth surfaces up to 45 degrees at a climbing-movement rate of 30 feet, even while mounted. Like horses, these steeds can be war-trained and wear barding. Downsides to lizard steeds used as steeds are they are more rare than horses, are not as fast, and also enter hibernation when temperatures go below 50° F. Females lay only one to two eggs every year, and if having been fertilized, the egg requires another ten months of warm nesting before hatching.
