PHYLUM: HOMINOID

CLASS: TAURIAN

Creatures of the taurian class have the head and torso of another type of hominoid, typically human or elfin features, while their lower half has the features of a four-legged beast, such as a horse, dear or even a monitor lizard.

Centaur

body of a horse about the size of the Japanese breed, the Noma horse. A fully grown centaur is size-category large, weighing around 500 pounds and standing between 5-9 to 6-2 to the top of one’s head.

Equirda

dear-body, elflike top

Howltaur

Sometimes called Hyaenataurs, these philistine beings are scavengers and thieves, having the lower half of a large hyena and the torso and head of a howl. These taurians do at times hunt for themselves; however, they tend to stalk other predators and let them take down large game like deer, then move in and scare off the predator with numbers. It’s an odd approach that sages often argue isn’t as effective as if they’d just hunt directly. Nonetheless, more than half of their meal-gathering is performed this way. Moreover, their scavenging isn’t limited to food. Howltaurs have been known to act as highwaymen against small grounds to attack and rob them of their precious possessions. They might drag off slain bodies to eat as well -- or let them lie and rot, depending on their hunger level. Howltaurs have a simplistic use of language but communicate with a vocabulary of less than 200 words. Emotions run high in their packs. The quadrupedal portion of their bodies reach a rump height of about 32 inches, granting them a total height of about 5 foot 4 inches.

Reptaur

odd-looking and short due to the lower portion being similar to a crocodile or komodo. Total height is barely 4 feet tall.

Rhinoceaur

quadrupedal body in the form and size of a Sumatran rhinoceros, granting a total height of about 6-6 and weighing around 800 pounds. While having humanlike torso and heads, a rhinoceaur has a double protruding horn from the middle of its face, similar to that of the South African variety. As a result, their lower jawline is wide with loose skin producing jowls.

Visuntaur

largest of the taurian class with the body of a bison or wild yak, weighing from 1400 to 1600 pounds
