Unlike its cousin the asithchant, the marischant is purely a feeder of its host. Before the classifications of the lifesong were cataloged, someone infected with a marischant often would have been seen as cursed. In addition to the loss of attribute scores and a worse baseline for Spite, the host will also experience curse-like phenomena.
