Class: Granum

Granum are plant which directly produce seeds on their own. Each plant is specifically male or female, and thus produces a seed, cone, strobilus or similar kernel. The pollen from male seeds are emitted by various methods but often via wind; and when that pollen settles on the ovule cones or other receptors, then the process of reproduction might begin. However, the fertilized seed must still make its way to a favorable environment in the ground or mud to properly grow. For plants with a higher development of sensibility, that location might be selected and placed rather than relying about happenstance.
