Beings that are biophages are those who eat and survive by the consumption of other living and materials or various nutrients that reside in the earth or native terrain. Mutants are monsters in the strictest sense frightening creatures that are not ordinary, not truly natural, and almost never benign. Some are the results of magical experimentation gone awry, and others are the product-of terrible curses. Unless stated otherwise, mutant beasts eat, sleep, and breathe. |
Chimera
The chimera is huge, about 12 feet at the shoulder, with three heads. It can make a physical melee attack with all three heads in an action. The lion head has a d20 ice-based bite. The goat head delivers a lightning shock on impact as a d20 attack. The lizard head breaths flame to an adjacent hex to inflict fire damage on a d20. Each of these attacks are against individuals but act as a multi-attack and may be directed at different targets. As a second attack option, however, is a mystical gaze from range. From up 60 feet away the chimera selects a single target and blasts either the victim's Mind or its Spirit. Either way, the target must make a save (DC:12) using Judgment against Mind damage or Will against Spirit damage. If failing the save, the target suffers d4 points of damage to that quality. A third, but rarely-used option is to attack with its claws for 2d20. Finally, the chimera is resistant to cold, lightning and fire.
