Chipekwe

A chipekwe has a hairless, smooth, dark body and a single smooth horn, white as polished ivory. They appear as slightly smaller versions of an elephant; however, they are far more aggressive. Chipekwes do not take well to humans invading their territory, attacking as singletons or as an organized pack. They also attack travelers in rivers, similar to sneak attacks by hippopotami. Canoes are quite susceptible to their attacks. In rare cases, a chipekwe has been captured, broken and used as a mount, but rumors circulate that magic is needed to do so.
