Beings that are biophages are those who eat and survive by the consumption of other living and materials or various nutrients that reside in the earth or native terrain.
Anthropoids are the main peoples of the social world, both civilized and savage, including humans and a tremendous variety of other species. They have language and culture, few if any innate magical abilities (though most humanoids can learn spellcasting), and a bipedal form. The most common humanoid races are the ones most suitable as player characters: humans, dwarves, elves, and nhoblits. Almost as numerous but far more savage and brutal, and almost uniformly evil, are the races of goblinoids (goblins, hobgoblins, and bugbears), orcs and troglodytes.

Goblin (Goblinoid)

Goblins are a race of small and numerous goblinoids. They are short, spindly scavengers that live in dismal surroundings on the edge of other civilizations. They vary in height from three to four feet and weigh no more than 40 pounds. Although short, a goblin’s arms are disproportionately long and reach below its knee. Their eyes are red and yellow, have a broad noses and fanged teeth. The goblin society in one in which the strongest rules. Groups vary in size from small parties of four, up to entire village tribes of nearly five hundred. Goblins understand and often employ the strategy of strength in numbers, which they employ by swarming; however, in their society they respect (or perhaps fear) the power of an individual. Further, this race seems to have an affinity for training dire wolves, keeping one in every twenty goblins. Groups often settle near areas which are easy to raid and loot. However, goblins are often led by a non-goblin leader who exploits them as fodder for selfish gain. Note: the base AC listed here assumes no armor or shield. Goblins can wear any light or medium armor that has been fashioned for their size.
