Beings that are biophages are those who eat and survive by the consumption of other living and materials or various nutrients that reside in the earth or native terrain.
Giantkin tower over humans and their kind. They are humanlike in shape, though some have multiple heads or deformities. There is a subtype called true giant, but other creatures such as ogres and trolls are also giantkin.

Magma Giant (True Giants)

Standing 15 feet tall, these giants are only remotely related to the volcanic giants in that both are giantkin. Breeding between the species is not possible. The magma giants have dark coal-colored skin and faces like huge carnivorous apes. Where the volcanic giants appear to have lava underneath their skin, magma giants actually do. This is a second defense if one can pierce through the metallic skin. Their skin is so hard that armor does not offer protection, but some wear it for show. Most however, do not to ensure the full lava-defense. When one is struck by a weapon that inflicts more than 4 points of damage, they spray hot blood in the direction of the attack for 1-4 points of fire damage over three hexes (the striker and two adjacent). If the giant wears armor, then effect is reduced to 1-2 points and only upon the striker.

Another factor when engaging in battle with a magma giant is they are immune to fire even magical fire. Because of this one in five of them (20% chance), will wield flame-tongue swords, which inflict an additional point of fire upon striking. Also, even though the weapons used are almost always swords for their size, because of their strength, these act as cleaving weapons and strike accordingly.Fortunately, these giants cannot breed in large numbers; however, that has created small clans and solitary rules who build armies of fire-based minions, like fire salamanders or even minor fire elementals. It is possible that a younger fire dragon might serve a magma giant king.
