Beings that are biophages are those who eat and survive by the consumption of other living and materials or various nutrients that reside in the earth or native terrain.
Mutants are monsters in the strictest sense frightening creatures that are not ordinary, not truly natural, and almost never benign. Some are the results of magical experimentation gone awry, and others are the product-of terrible curses. Unless stated otherwise, mutant beasts eat, sleep, and breathe.

Hammer Strix 

The hammer strix is a bizarre magical mutation between a boastrix and a hammerhead shark. The creature hunts in small flocks of four to ten, usually at night, as this nocturnal creatures hate light, which tends to drive them away. This is probably because they are vulnerable to fire. They fly and attack with a swoop as the first attack, which is a headbutt with a grapple. The headbutt may stun the victim on a “natural 20” and if the target fails a Resilience save against DC:8. If one misses, then it flies on and tries again later. However, if latching on, it will eviscerate the victim with continuous biting. Further, it has a tail that can be used like a lasso with a 10-foot range. Additionally, the head of the hammer strix works as a partial shield, which allows it to have an effective parry skill in close melee.
