Sahuagin (Ichthyoid)
Often called sea devils by those who survive an encounter, the sahuagin are an underwater race while some amphibious qualities. They can survive on land for nearly four hours without suffocating. They can swim at a rate of 60 feet and can walk on land at 40 feet. The sahuagin have their own language and religion. They are highly perceptive in water, gaining +4 to all Perception checks; however, such checks are normal when on land. Further, they have unique racial abilities, such as darkvision, but they also have a sense similar to spirit sense which feels the presence of a biofield with in 30 feet being sensitive to the energies radiated, similar to certain eels. Also, sahuagin can smell/sense blood in the water over a distance of half a mile. Moreover, the sahuagin have a shark telepathy by which they can magically command any shark within 120 feet. The sahuagin also have an affinity with the scyphazean jellyfish and perform rituals with them.
The attack of the sahuagin is unique in that they have can attack in a single action as multi-attack, combining a weapon in conjunction with biting at the same time. The multi-attack must be used against the same target unless the individual sahuagin has developed the spinning moves skill, which is usually only found in their noble fighters. A few sahuagin use nets instead of weapons. Lastly, using poisonous corals (equal to shadeblood poison) is not uncommon on the tips of their spears. On rare occasion, a poisonous coral equal to hornmystic may be used, but again this is usually reserved from the better fighters.
